 
Integrity is not simply saying what we mean and doing what we say.
Integrity is an alignment among personal authenticity and expression, mutually satisfying and effective relationships, and making a difference in the world through serving highest good. This alignment is three-dimensional integrity or 3D Integrity™.
Imagine what happens when enough people, especially those who are highly influential, are out of integrity. You do not have to imagine too hard. Look around you and you will immediately see what happens.
Lack of integrity is more than merely not pretty. It is devastating. To all of us. To our very planet. In all conceivable ways. If you don't believe me, review the list of symptoms of lack of integrity.
Unintegrity is more than just devastating. It has reached epidemic proportions. It is perhaps the most dangerous pandemic the world faces today; it is the king/queen of all pandemics.
The good news is that what could be termed “The Integrity Effect” has the potential to be even more powerful:
- Imagine the impact even one person has when s/he moves into 3D Integrity™.
- Imagine the personal fulfillment a person feels when embodying his/her own authentic self-expression and personal power (dimension 1 of 3D Integrity™).
- Imagine how enjoyable a person is to be in relationship with when s/he is good at synergizing with others to co-create closeness and collaborative, mutually honorable solutions (dimension 2 of 3D Integrity™).
- Imagine how much the world becomes a better place to be when someone’s motivation to make a difference in the world grows from a deep inner understanding that self-interest is only true self-interest when it is also compatible with highest collective good (dimension 3 of 3D Integrity™).
Of the many stunning things I have been taught over the years by my psychotherapy clients, the leaders I have mentored, and the thousands of wonderful people who have attended my workshops, three lessons stand out to me as the most stunning of all:
- Being Out of Integrity Affects Us All: Everyone suffers when someone is out of integrity with him/herself -- that person suffers, those with whom that person is in direct (and sometimes indirect) relationship suffer, and the larger systems of which that person is a part suffer.
- There is a Universal Set of Life Skills: The skills needed for personal authenticity, self-expression and success are the same ones needed for great personal and business relationships, and for making a positive difference in the world and being a great leader. (How’s that for efficiency?!)
- Happiness & Integrity Are Inseparable: The more integrity a person is in with all three of his/her Core Drives, the more whole, happy and fulfilled s/he reports herself as being. (Our Three Core Drives are: 1) authenticity and self-expression; 2) the ability to create mutually satisfying and effective relationships with others; and 3) the ability to make a difference in the world through serving collective highest good.)
The Integrity Effect™ is the profound surge in personal authenticity, relationship effectiveness and ability to serve highest collective good that comes from full expression and alignment among all three of your Core Drives.
